Notice about Kuala Lumpur Chinese Visa Application Service Center Resuming Partial Emergency Operation

    Kuala Lumpur Chinese Visa Application Service Center (referred as the Center) will resume some emergency services from 16 June 2020 (Tuesday). The arrangements are as follows:

 1. Starting from 16 June, every Tuesday and Friday (10am-3pm), the Center will provides visa applications and legalization services to those applicants who meet the emergency requirements. (For diplomatic, official and courtesy visas, please apply directly at the Consular Section of the Chinese Embassy in OSK Building)

 2. Conditions for application:

(1) Visa applicants who urgently need to travel to China that engage in economic and trade, science and technology activities, and have obtained the "Verification Letter of Invitation" or invitation letter (PU) or invitation letter (TE) from the foreign affairs office of the provincial people's government or the commercial department or central enterprise, may submit the application to the Center at the above time.
 (2) Visa applications for emergency humanitarian who travels to China for funerals must provide proof of relationship within three generations and the death certificate. For visiting critically ill patients in China, please provide proof of relationship within three generations and the critical illness notification or critical surgery notification or critical illness certificate from the hospital. For foreign children or spouse and underage children travelling to China to take care of their Chinese parents, must provide an invitation letter from the Chinese parents (with the reasons of care and support) and the proof of immediate family relationship. Kindly submit the application to the Center according to the above time.

 (3) Applicants applying for crew visas, please walk-in to the Center for submission according to the opening hour and provide all the required documents.
 (4)Applicants for family reunion visa, Chinese citizen and spouses and underage children of Chinese citizens and foreign permanent residents in must submit an invitation letter from the Chinese citizen or the Permanent Resident together with the proof of immediate family relationship(including a front and back copy of Chinese citizenship certificate) .Applications can be submitted to the center according to the above time.
 (5) Effective from 0 a.m., 28 September 2020, foreign nationals holding valid Chinese residence permits for work, personal matters and reunion are allowed to enter China with no need for applying for new visas(Despite that,you still need to apply and use a valid Health Declaration Form for entering China). If the above three categories of residence permits held by foreign nationals expired after 0 a.m., 28 March 2020, You may provide the expired residence permit and the related documents(click here for more details) for applying the coresponding visa to enter the country. The above-mentioned personnel shall strictly abide by the Chinese regulations on epidemic prevention and control.

 (6) Applicants who need to apply for legalization of documents due to emergency case, please send an e-mail to klcentre@visaforchina.org to explain the emergency reasons and provide all the relevant materials. Applicants who have received a reply from the center by e-mail should proceed to the Center according to the appointment time.

 3. Requirements for epidemic prevention

(1) The applicant who visit the Center must receive temperature check, wear mask and use disinfectant hand sanitizer throughout the process, and maintain a distance of more than one meter between yourself and others.
(2) Kindly submit the Health Declaration Form upon application. In accordance with the regulations, you must apply for a Health Declaration Form before travelling to China. After entering China, you must abide by China's domestic epidemic prevention regulations.
